Volunteers are seldom paid; not because they are worthless, but because they are PRICELESS!

How would a Volunteer help?

A Volunteer supports SBCC with any or all of the following:

  • Education events
  • Local trade shows
  • Fundraising activities
  • Distribution of SBCC information

What would a Volunteer do?

Typical Volunteer tasks include:

We have a wide range of needs so there are many different skills required. Volunteers are not expected to help with all of these tasks. They are encouraged to choose the tasks that interest them the most. 

  1. To help with SBCC education events:
    • Research potential venues
    • Prepare handouts for registrants
    • Set up event room
    • Man the registration tables
    • Pack up event room
  2. To help SBCC with fundraising activities:
    • Approach businesses for prize donations
    • Collect prize donations
    • Sell advance tickets
    • Set up event room
    • Man games / prize / auction tables
    • Pack up event room
  3. To help SBCC at other events (local trade shows, health fairs, etc.):
    • Man SBCC booth
    • Disseminate SBCC information (hand out pamphlets, pens, etc.)
