Community Liaison

Volunteers do not necessarily have the time;                                      they just have the heart.

What is a Community Liason?

A Community Liaison provides local resource and service information to SBCC and distributes SBCC information locally.

What does a Community Liaison do?

Typical Community Liaison tasks include:

  1. To distribute SBCC information
    • Post event posters in retailer windows, medical clinics, community boards, post offices or other appropriate locations.
    • Request mastectomy product and/or wig retailers to have SBCC membership pamphlets available in their store or to hand them out with every purchase.
  2. To gather information about resources and / or support services for SBCC
    • When you come across information from other organizations (support groups, charities, etc.) and the services that they provide, to pass that information along to SBCC so that we can post to the website, forge a new partnership, etc.
    • When you hear about local trade shows, health fairs, etc. to pass the information along to SBCC so that we can book a booth and/or post to the website.
